Inaugural Gala

Why: Solano County Resource Family Association (SCRFA) has operated for 8 years under the umbrella of the California State Foster Parent Association (Chapter #45). Effective in July 1, 2026, Solano Foster Connection will take over all SCRFA functions in Solano County including administering grants for the direct benefit of foster children and resource parents.

 

Solano Foster Connection also hosts educational and social activities. Solano Foster Connection also operates an extensive Resource Center where families can obtain emergency clothing, back-to-school supplies, age-appropriate toys, games, and hygiene items. With assistance of additional individual and organizational community sponsors, Solano Foster Connection also distributes holiday meals and Christmas gifts to provide for the needs of over 300 children each year.

 

Current operating expenses, including rent for our Resource Center, are funded through a grant that is set to expire on June 30, 2026. To address this funding gap, we are hosting our inaugural fundraising gala on September 12, 2026. All funds raised through the Gala will be used to meet operating expenses for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.
